A half-day small-group hike in Budapest’s Buda Hills with local guide Laszlo, trail-marker skills, big lookout views, and an end gift.

“We loved our scenic hike in the hilly area we didn't even know was in Budapest! Laszlo was a fantastic guide, he brought interesting information and was able to go at a smooth pace for us! The paths were easy to manage and the scenery was grand. Even taking the bus to the trails was fun with Laszlo, our lunch was fantastic and something we had read about but not found while we were in the City. We were blessed to have our hike on the best day of the year, not to hot not to cold and very little mud. Laszlo also took some pictures for us and sent…”

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 87 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $168.95

A guided one-day Budapest hiking escape to Dömös, with snacks, hotel pickup, and canyon views in Ipoli National Park.

“Beautiful hike! The views were absolutely stunning. I would say this hike was challenging; I’d rate it hard rather than moderate. So definitely come prepared: pack enough water, food (sandwiches, snacks) and anything you might need for the ~6 hour hike. Hiking shoes/boots are definitely recommended. Be prepared to get your heart rate up for the first half of the trail. The last part is downhill and serene. You’ll feel super accomplished when you complete the hike!”

“We had a fantastic trip Our guide Gyuri picked us up from our hotel lobby, drove us around an hour to our destination. We both felt like we got to see the real hungry with a local , a truly authentic experience . He was extremely accommodating, messaging us the day before to let us know it was going to be hot so moved the climb to an earlier time so we would be in the brutal sun so long. He made sure we we went up an down the mountain in the shade , the kayaking was brilliant , stunning scenery , was supposed to be in 1 sharing…”

Ram Gorge hike from Budapest in a small group. Walk Rám-szakadék’s waterfalls and streams, refill at a spring, and return the same day.

“This hike is truly a hidden gem! Gyuri is a great guide, chill, fun, knowledgeable and connected to nature. Me and my partner are not big hikers or anything but this hike hits just right as we stepped on stones and branches drenched in the river flow, some muddy sections to avoid… though as Gyuri said ‘better to have muddy feet than a sprained ankle’. So much of it I realized is where to step and maintaining balance, for me that part was particularly enjoyable. We also got lucky and got to see two deer; and also hear other deer as they talk to each other (we don’t speak Deer…”
